For the Wexford design we wanted to celebrate 2 famous wexford landmarks, Hook Head lightouse and Tacumshane Windmill and Wexford's sandy beaches.
Hook Head Lighthouse is one of the oldest Lighthouses in the world and the second oldest operating lighthouse in the world, it has been standing on the Hook head peninsula for 849 years! In 2011 teh Lonely planet listed in #1 in the worlds falshiest lighthouses!
Tacumshane Windmill was built in 1846, and was used until 1936, making it the last windmill in the Republic to work commercially. It is located 15km south of Wexford town.
